One of the single biggest tragedies women live with is the mischaracterization that we invite in the concept of making things bigger than they appear. If we have heard it once we have heard it a million times, don't blow things up needlessly. And there are more women who can be counted that will receive that bit of suggestive insight from the universe and then they wilt back into themselves and suffer in silence. It must be something they did to be in a wilted space to begin with. They invited wilted in.
I would like to speak on behalf of the wilted among us if I may. Just a few suggestions of my own if the universe will humor me for a few moments.
Wilted did not become wilted on its own.
There is no magic wand to fix broken. And when you hear a woman in pain, it is not the broken we need fixing, it is the pain. So even if you hear us say the walls are bleeding, we would like the benefit of the doubt. Like if you would take at least two steps toward the wall before you count us out would be appreciated. The walls are bleeding is not about the wall it is about the cry behind it. Fixed is what you do to bicycles and dishwashers, healing is what you do alongside someone in pain. So before you jump in with a wrench, try stepping into the pain and sit awhile.
Get over it already.
What wilted women are trying to do is get back on their feet. It is not easy to accept being told "It is what it is", get over it. You must remember that behind that wilted creature is a beautiful flower and try as she might, pulling "it is what it is" into her picture frame is difficult. Every time she tries it gets stuck. So know it might take awhile for this flower to bloom again. "It is what it is" does not apply to beautiful creatures. We deserve better. We are seeking complete healing.
It is about healing moments of hurt
It is hurtful and insulting to beautiful creatures to hear we are making things bigger than they are. Really? You don't say? Fact is, by the time it registers with the universe that it is bigger than it is, BIG HAD ALREADY LEFT THE BUILDING. We suffer in silence for that very reason. We do not want to be judged for feeling. And we are kind enough not to judge the universe for trivializing the pain it chooses to ignore all around it.
Wilted creatures are looking to make better real not imagined moments of hurt. That's all. Not big as you might call it, but small gradual, ignored, trivialized pain points.
Get the picture? So the next time you approach one of us beautiful creatures, put the wrench down and open your arms, your mind, your heart. We are not your project, we are your flower. We will leave the light on for you.
