My daughter had packed no fewer than 4 jackets.
Finally after realizing she did not get it, would not get it yet, this is what I did. I handed Hannah her favorite purple jacket. I went on to tell her she did not have to wear it but must carry it with her throughout the day. Secondly she could not wear any other jacket. We left for the bible camp.
The first barefoot, nearly-frozen to the bone young girl we encountered I made Hannah walk up to her and give her, for keeps, that Purple Jacket that did not match. Then every day for the rest of our trip I made sure Hannah noticed the warm little girl in her now Favorite Purple Jacket that did not match.
