Meeting Love: A True Story
An Atlanta native, she had my printing business the moment she met me at the curb saying, "Hello Miss White, I knew it was you. I recognized you from the front page of The Champion newspaper." She has never seen an ambush video, she is not social media savvy in fact. What I know is she knows printing, her business is suffering, she has cancer, and that she wrote to me in the middle of the night. Yes she did.

She asked me to come see her not because of a million FB "likes", but because of a million hopes that I just might be that one person who puts my money where my heart is.

She read an article about me in a newspaper medium we are told is fast becoming a dinosaur. And the very next day, I showed up just like I promised. We parted with my writing her a deposit check for the Movement's first new T-shirt order.

Her last words, "I had hoped you would stay longer. I wanted you to know more of my story." With my best hug, I responded, "Next time I will sit longer Denise Love and we will really get to know each other."

The Denese Loves are why I began this movement. She says what she means, means what she says. She looks you in the eyes. She does not over-promise. She calls rather than texts. She is striving toward more. She wants more than anything to hang on to her dream.

She needs people to know she shares her retail space with a piano distributor to cut down on expenses. She had a dream of owning something of her own after working for others in the printing business for decades. And for 6 years she has done just that, albeit by a narrow thread.

When you wear the T-shirt, know the story of Denese Love behind it.

I love being around people. I would rather live falling than break my spirit never trying anything hard. This blog is about trying and retrying life.
