The most wonderful quality I can bestow upon the memory of the most iconic human being living on earth in more than a century and especially among African Americans begins with his dream. Upon reflection, Dr. King's dream was not so much about him but a dream dreamt for others. He dreamt an unselfish dream of freedom, fairness, equality, and brotherhood. He dreamt of finally achieving due payment using a good check that returned real value. So we have come to cash this check -- a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice. Dr. King fervently believed that his dream could be achieved and waiting another 100 years since emancipation was not an option on the table.
