I am no drag. We all should be constantly looking for drafting experiences. Those that lead us to finding and aligning with positive people who understand the value of working together so everyone in the group gets ahead. In order to get ahead, that means we must lift up one another, share our resources, give of our time freely, invest in other people's dreams. We must not harness bitterness, jealousy or ill-will toward others in the group. We must constantly plant seeds of support and become a cheerleader to everyone.
I am no drag because I realize that I have never met anyone who has gotten where they are today alone. The most successful people I know have drafting written all over them. They are willing even eager to hang out with people more talented than them, smarter too. Drafting people find a way to say yes to others. They never forget the kindness and hard work of those they drafted with.
Kenneth Burdick, president and CEO, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of MinnesotaBurdick received this message from various successful people he has met:
"Surround yourself with good people. And part of that is surrounding yourself with people who think differently than you. Surrounding yourself with people who have different experiences than you. In business, it's all about the team."
